Recently Completed Needs etc SurveysHSCHT carry out questionnaire based surveys in over 20 Community Council areas a year. Every permanently resident household in the community concerned receives a questionnaire which invites the householder not only to indicate whether anyone in the household has a housing need but also what housing options they are looking for to meet their needs. |

Land PurchasesThe Trust has just (end of march 2006) bought a small site at Burnside, Strontian, from Forestry Commission Scotland’s through their “National Forestland Scheme” which allows FCS to sell appropriate land at a discount to community bodies to meet bona fide community development objectives, eg. the provision of affordable housing to meet local needs. |

Completions by Housing AssociationsMany of the site which are bought (landbanked) by the Trust are subsequently sold on (with the approval of the Community Council concerned) to Registered Housing Associations – particularly Albyn Housing Society which is much the biggest Housing Association operating in the Highlands. |
