Trust staff prepare a factual report of the survey results plus any other relevant contextual information (e.g. Council and Housing Association waiting list figures for the community, population and school rol trends, local house prices etc). They then present their findings at a public meeting of the Community Council concerned, and discuss what the results are saying about how the local housing needs could best be met - e.g. by securing some more affordable rented housing (from local Housing Association) and/or some low cost home ownership opportunities (e.g. affordable house plots).
A plan of action is then agreed with the Community Council and typically the Trust is asked to help find and secure the land for the mix of affordable housing opportunities which the survey evidence shows are needed.
