The Self Build Loan Fund (SBLF) is administered by The Highlands Small Communities Housing Trust (HSCHT) on behalf of the Scottish Government. We are seeking a Self Build Loan Fund Officer who will primarily be responsible for administering the fund. This not only includes dealing with all enquires but also liaising with applicants at all stages, monitoring self-build projects and instructing loan payments. Along with this, the successful candidate will also be responsible for raising the profile of the loan fund, representing the organisation at key events and liaising with the Scottish Government and their solicitors on all aspects of the fund.
Knowledge of the construction sector is essential as is knowledge and / or experience of project costing, mortgages and financial assessments. Along with this, good interpersonal and communication skills are essential as is a full valid driving license, use of a car and willingness to travel throughout Scotland. Experience in PR and or marketing would also be desirable as would previous administration experience and an interest in housing and communities.
